Racism has no place in the Body of Christ

I think it is important that Christians speak out on matters publicly and do what we can with the platform God has given us.  Silence in the face of evil is unacceptable.

Having said that, I reject and denounce all race-based supremacy movements, white or otherwise. Hate is hate and racism is evil. Racism works to undo the power of the cross of Jesus Christ. Racism, in any form, has no place in the body of believers.

I John 4:8 says, “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”

I made this statement from the pulpit yesterday and it was enthusiastically affirmed by the congregation of FBC Laredo.  May God bring healing to our nation and peace to our land.

I would encourage you to check out my book on the importance of maintaining unity in the body of Christ.  It is available on Amazon.  Here is the link:  https://www.amazon.com/Unity-Body-Benjamin-Karner/dp/1512773018/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1502730142&sr=8-1&keywords=unity+in+the+body
